Back to the 60's with Flashbax

Doors 6.30pm music starts at 8pm.

Flashbax were formed in the 1980s by experienced local musicians to recapture the magic of 60s music. Since then they have worked regularly at clubs, ladies nights, private parties, festivals & The Cliffs Pavilion.

 Terry (guitar,vocals)has been playing in bands and groups in the Essex area for 50+ years. He has supported artists such as Dave Berry, Screaming Lord Sutch, Heinz, and the Who. Derek (lead guitar) was influenced by many guitarists in the 60’s – Clapton , Peter Green,  Hendrix, etc and became a professional musician. He has played in support bands for Fleetwood Mac, Free, Alan Price, Chris Farlow and many others at venues all over the UK.

Cliff (Bass guitar) following in his father’s footsteps,  has spent his life around music, most notably in the 80's, with a band called Ava Raj, who won the Battle Of The Bands Competition (in which he won Best Musician) and achieved a top 10 Dance Chart hit, supporting various bands such as The Armoury Show, Depeche Mode & Tears For Fears. Ken (Drums and lead vocals) learned his trade during the 60s playing in the old East End venues around Poplar, West Ham, Stratford etc. Then graduated to North London Venues! He has been with Flashbax since their formation, and played with many other local groups; notably  with Julie Jive and the Bigshots.
