Daniel John Martin Gypsy Jazz Quartet

Daniel John Martin (aka ‘DJM’) is a world renowned Anglo-French violinist and vocalist. One of the most active and valued members of the Paris jazz scene, he was the long time MC of Gypsy jazz concerts and jams at “Aux petits joueurs”, where you can hear many of the best players in the world, who wander in casually to a play a few numbers. 

Daniel has worked alongside many of the greats of the jazz manouche world, including Angelo Debarre, Romane, Adrien Moignard and Boulou Ferré. After studying at the famous Paris Conservatoire, and touring and recording with the late great Didier Lockwood, he has released several successful albums, most recently “Parisian Impromptu” with friend and collaborator Mayo Hubert. Recent collaborations with former Miles Davis guitarist Robben Ford have received high acclaim indeed!

Joined by a local trio of the UK's finest gypsy jazz musicians, expect an evening of Gypsy jazz and swing classics with echoes of the great Django Reinhardt and Stephane Grappelli.
