About The Event
Hollie B and the Rocketeers are a seven piece band playing authentic Rhythm & Blues and early Rock 'n' Roll, from the Jump Blues style of the likes of Louis Jordan, Big Momma Thornton, Ruth Brown& Big Joe Turner, to the classic rock 'n' roll numbers of Jerry Lee Lewis, Little Richard and Chuck Berry . They have a wide repertoire covering songs from the 50s and 60s as well as more contemporary numbers from later decades played in their own classic vintage style. You will be transported back to a different era and can jump, jive and boogie without fear or shame. The guys are the Jools Holland Rhythm and Blues orchestra meets Thomas Shelby and the Peaky Blinders.
Hollie B's unique voice and sassy style is a feast for both the eyes and ears and an experience not to forget. Hollie has youth on her side but is accompanied by a band with over 80 years joint experience as professional and semi-professional musicians having performed with the best, across Europe and Untied States.
Holly B and the Rocketeers are proud of their Essex roots and Essex is still their home but their night with us is their first coming home of 2024.
Often considered to being the driving force, the power house and the engine room of the band, the man on the Ivories when let loose is a man on fire and the speed of his fingers are a sight to be seen. The powerful horn section of Lee and Tim is second to none and the guitar of Mr Rob Robinson plays both sweet and hard but always pure artistry. They have all shared the stages at home and abroad with many of the greats.
The band grew from a meeting of minds and a belief that audiences deserved more, When the rhythm section of the bass and drums met Johnny's piano, something special was born and what grew from that first meeting and that resolve was the ultimate vintage dance band.
From the festivals of the West Country, the classic venues of London, Dublin, Cork, France, Spain, Chicago, Boston and LA the band have performed before thousands but on this day they are coming home.
