Martin McNeill's Bottleneck Blues

An evening of swinging blues, boogie and ballads from renowned slide guitarist Martin McNeill and his band. The line-up features international harmonica star West Weston with JJ Zarbo on upright bass and Roy Webber on drums.

 Martin McNeill mixes Delta, Chicago and West Coast blues with jazzy grooves. While many modern blues acts favour heavy blues-rock, Martin takes a more mellow approach, putting soul and swing into his singing and playing.

 He is a renowned exponent of the bottleneck technique; using a slide to create notes. His recent CD has been dubbed “British blues at its best.”
