About The Event

Doors 6.30pm music starts at 8pm.

With music as warm as the campfire it was made to be played around, Pixie and The Gypsies are an ethereally beautiful new face on the scene. Gypsy jazz is credited to 1930's Romani guitarist Jean "Django" Reinhardt. But, if Pixie and The Gypsies are anything to go by, this genre is far from outdated. Honeyed vocals, hypnotic tempos and narrative driven lyrics, these bohemian style tunes are both vintage and contemporary. Brianna McClean .

Pixie & The Gypsies have repeatedly sold out top jazz venues in London and played some of Europe's biggest Jazz festivals. Their debut album, Honey Trap, went straight in at No.1 on the iTunes Jazz Chart

"Pixie and The Gypsies bring a real sense of romanticism to the stage. Something about their polished and passionate presentation is not just talented, but joyful." - London Jazz News

Following the release of their debut album, 2018 has seen the band perform sold-out shows at The Spice Of Life, Pizza Express Jazz Club Soho and Upstairs @ Ronnie Scott's, as well as featuring at the Cheltenham Jazz Festival, Rye International Jazz & Blues Festival and the Cork Jazz Festival.

"The evening was brilliant from all aspects... the music was totally involving, presented and performed at a high level, to a full house. A definite highlight in this year's musical calendar!" - Paul Pace, Spice Of Life Jazz
