They draw from a back catalogue of hits by Bill Withers, The Crusaders, The Average White Band, David Sanborn, Grover Washington Jnr, Herbie Hancock, the JBs and Stevie Wonder to perform crowd-pleasing, spirit-lifting funk tunes and creating a night of foot-tapping, hand-clapping good times!
Led by Derek Nash (of the Jools Holland R&B Orchestra) and featuring Neil Angilley (piano - Musical Director to Vanessa-Mae, Lionel Richie & many others), Nic France (drums - Bill Withers, David Gilmour, Mose Allison), Dave Ital on guitar (Tom Jones, Anita Baker &Level 42), Orefo Orakwue on bass (Louise Marshall). The Funk Experience brings together five of the best funk musicians in the UK.
